New innovative combined Microimplant-clear aligner treatment
The advent of skeletal anchorage system utilizing microimplant have changed paradigm in orthodontic treatment toward easy and efficient mechanics, especially in open bite requiring intrusion of molars or in non-extraction cases „solved” by molar distalization. The a forehead mentioned devices have improved quality of treatment in terms of not only the facial beauty after profound amount of anterior teeth retraction but also perfection of occlusion resulting from precise control of teeth movement.
As new innovative treatment mechanics, clear aligner also have opened new era as for esthetic treatment, but its quality is still challenged. There are still requirements for stripping in order to align crowded teeth; incapability of controlling the posterior teeth vertically or antero-posteriorly is another drawback.
Speaker has tried to develop new technique, which provides esthetics or invisible treatment with clear aligner on anterior teeth and excellence in alignment or movement of the posterior teeth with microimplant-bracket mechanics. With 5 years of experience enabling the speaker to present the results of new microimplant-clear aligner combined treatment, the lecturer will discuss indications and contra-indications for the treatment, its mechanics and results, as well as several methods to control upper incisor movement.
